These are pics of my oldest cat, Smokey.( he's 20 years old this year)..the poor old boy was at the vets yesterday..he was missing for several days.( we were worried something had happened to him) but he turned up outside the back door in a terrible state.....He must have got locked in someones shed and sat in oil or grease as he was covered in it....we bathed him but it didn't make any difference..his fur was so matted and he seemed to be in a lot of pain when we brushed him, he was very thin.....also he had to have all his teeth out, as they were loose ..but he did only had 3 !!!....the Vet said its best to do both things at once while he was sedated, to save having to sedate him at a later date, as its not good at his age...so now he is toothless as well as bald both sides..he looks like a Mohiccan, with his fur shaved each side. ..bless him.
The vets bill was £137 +.... cant believe the price of these things..are vets as expensive in other countries as they are here i wonder ?..but Smokey is worth it, they said his fur will grow back soon and he will be fine.
As soon as he got home he ate a huge meal...despite the vet saying he probably wouldn't eat that day, and then slept..he still eats every chance he gets, he looks a poor soul, but he still goes and sits in the garden, as long as its not too windy...i think now he hasn't got his thick fur coat he feels the cold more..specially all the wind we have been getting just lately.

The Blosssom is lovely this year.
When i got back from Wales it was lovely to see the 2 blossom trees over the road..they had bloomed while i was away and i thought it was a pretty site..the blossoms dont last very long and are replaced by lots of greenery...but the blossoms are so pretty while they last. The Old people who live in the little bungalows opposite must love to look out on them each day.
Holiday break in Wales

I I really enjoyed my break in Wales...i went with my friend Margaret to her Mobile home, its sighted permanently in a lovely spot surrounded by hills in a place called Derwenlas, in Macynllith (i'm sure i've spelt that wrong !!) we had lovely weather for the last 2 days, but a bit mixed at the beginning...the one picture is of the walking area on the site, its interesting as there are Buffolo's that live and breed there... but sadly the day i took my camera we didn't see any...last time i was down there we saw a whole herd of them.. We went to Aberystwith and also to a lovely craft center...i was so mad i forgot to take my camera because there was so much to see there. The scenery and countryside was lovely..but we were also only 10 minutes from a lovely quiet sandy beach ( see picture)...so we had the best of both Worlds....Bacon sandwiches each morning and just time to realx, do crosswords and have a good natter...it was a lovely time..we're going again in July..i'm so looking forward to that.April 05, 2009

What do you think of this..its a genuine building !!!

I thought you girls would have a laugh at this..i have been here..it is a strange feeling when you walk in..ONLY in ENGLAND !!!..wemust be nuts !!!..below is the write up that is on the web page for it..........................................................................
Glynne removed too much of the coal that lies underneath with the obvious result. As the result of an optical illusion, without even taking a drink, beer bottles can really be seen to roll up the table!!!!..go & see for yourself !!.
Some years ago, the pub was shifting and sinking but buttressing prevented further damage but left it tilted some 15 degrees out of true. Doors, floors and windows all sit at odd angles to one another, causing patrons difficulty upon entering the pub and walking to the bar.
The sloping floor creates an eerie illusory sensation, making drinkers feel drunk after only a pint or two...but it is still used & visited by customers from all over the country.

Just had to put this one in girls !!

A Few More Pics.

Just a few more pics, as you like to see them...I have to say that Tamworth as got its own share of shabby, even unsightly views..I only show you the nice ones !!!..but it as got lots of history for folk who enjoy it....it's really just a Market town..all the pics i have shown you have been within a few miles of the Town centre...The one is an outside entrance up to the Castle, it contains a very old herringbone wall, which is believed to date back to the 1180's..but its not really visible in the picture as its not big enough to see it properly. The next picture is the back of the Old St Georges church tower, this is in my village (Glascote) its view is obscured by some of the local gardens so its not a very good picture...The last one is the Town Hall in the centre of town, taken at night when it is lit up...in fairness it does look much better at night than in daylight. Some of the little surrounding villages are very pretty also ..i will get my camera out & take some shots of those for you..IF you get fed up please tell me...as i dont want to be a bore... dont forget to send me some of yours too, i love to see them.....thank you all so much for your comments.March 15, 2009
More pictures of Tamworth

I do hope you don't get fed up of these..but you said you wanted to see them girls..The top left one is Polesworth abbey taken from the river,...its a very old building in a lovely setting. ..The old building above is in Middleton Hall and parts of it date back to the 1300 century..The last one is the bandstand in Tamworth town, taken when the flowers were in bloom last summer..they do sometimes have bands playing in there and its nice to sit and have a picnic or ice cream on a warm summers day.
Some more pics of Tamworth.
