Just had to put this one in girls !!

I had to put this one in as there are so many things in it of interest to you girls (i think)...its the drawing room of the Castle & it shows lots of items that have been used down the centuries by people who have lived in & around the area...Tamworth Castle is open to the public most days in spring/summer..(occasionally other times) and the grounds are always open and no charge is made to stroll around (at least there wasn't last time i went there)..i would love for you to see it one day.

  1. I cannot beleive you live around so much history. My sis and I enjoy collecting things and old antiques...we relish them, but they have no where near the centuries of age your village has! Just to think having a Castle so nearby! How wonderful!

  2. Hi Faithful, is it Kay?..i do love history and all that goes with it. we have a MUCH larger old Cstle that is in wonderful condition in a town called Warwick about 30 miles from here,( that too dates back to the 13th century)...it as some fantastic artifacts and is a place you must see if ever you come to England. I have been several times and every time you discover more to see..you can look it up on the net i imagine..but i do love my little Town...lots of folk hate it and cant wait to get away...but thats life i suppose we all like different things..Its so good that Yourself,Kerry & Dee like old buildings and artifacts as well...its good to have things like that in common..i imagine you lead a very full life yourself on a cattle ranch..i think that is so interesting and dare i say it Romantic !!!or have i been watchui=ing too mny movies ?

  5. ha!ha! Yes! Romantic is such a lovely word for the cowboy way of life. The heroic, couragous cowboy and his sensibilities are truly romantic and I imagine there are quite a few love stories (like Kerry and Howard's) told around a camp fire. I've had some great times as a cowgirl, but I don't think my life on my small, little place has had it's due share of the many fun times that can be had living the life surrounded by animals and the frienhships of ranch folk. ~kay~

  6. Its not over yet Kay (Your Life)..it always looks good in the Movies doesn't it,Lol, but I imagine its hard work as well ?..i'd love to sit around a camp fire and listen to Kerry & Howards, Dee& Ed's and You & your Hubbys Life stories...that would be great Fun in itself...providing of course i could get down with my arthritis..and once down was also able get back up again after ..in less than 25 minutes !!! and all without looking like a complete old biddy...it sort of kicks romance up the backside a bit then.oh to be young and agile again.
